Working with neurodiverse individuals has been a very fulfilling aspect of my life over the last 20+ years. Over time, especially after having children of my own, I began to observe various emotions in caregivers including joy, anxiety, despair, love, compassion; a confetti of emotions. Caregivers described feelings of overwhelm, confusion, and anger, and they often had little to no support of their own. To provide a greater depth of support to caregivers, I expanded my scope of practice beyond the field of Behaviour Analysis to include counselling

I work with individuals, couples, and families
Whatever your family system looks like, I am happy to work with you!

Experience
I began working in the field of disability in the early 2000s as a behaviour interventionist (BI), and as a Speech + Language Pathology Assistant for several years. As an SLP assistant, I created and maintained augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for non-verbal adults. From there, I began working in a clinic as a Senior BI, went on maternity leave (twice), went back to school, and worked at another clinic as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) developing and monitoring early intervention programs primarily for children under age 6 who were diagnosed with autism. After 3 years, the clinic was unable to continue operating due to the pandemic. I decided to work for myself, and go back to school for family therapy.
